Defaults and 6 yeats

Hi,

Just wondered if someone can help with the below query I have.

I have the below defaults I was just wondering when they drop off my credit file, all the details below are from the Experian website. I am hoping to start looking at getting a mortgage next year.

Deafault 1
Bank Loan
Deafaulted - Sept 2009 (£7333)
Settled - Oct 2011

Default 2
Mobile phone
Deafaulted - May 2008 (£300)
Settled - Jun 2008

Default 3
Deafaulted - Sept 2008 (£401)
Settled - showing Oct 2008 (but paid off in Oct 2011)

Default 4
Deafaulted - June 2008 (£632)
Settled - showing July 2008 (but paid off in Oct 2011)

I have been completely debt free since Oct 2011 and paid off my credit card balance in full every month to keep my credit rating clean.

Thanks

They will drop off after 6 years from the date of default, quite a few there so you may find it difficult to get a mortgage until they drop off, any late payments will also reduce your chances.

Yes, 6 years from the default date.

sept 2014 3 of the 4 defaults should be gone. You might then have some luck with a mortgage with only 1 settled default remaining. But it would be better if you can wait the 2 year for the final one to drop off as well
