Parking Eye... with a twist

Since the law changed, just one company, ParkingEye, has filed thousands of court cases. So the Protection of Freedoms Act, and POPLA, have backfired spectacularly.0

I will be writing to my MP (again!) just as soon as the FOI figures for court claims in June are out.Je suis Charlie.0 -
swarfey, if you really want some drama for your piece, you could 'phone Aldi's press office and ask them what they intend to do about the customer fury being generated as a result of ParkingEye's activities in their car parks. You might also ask them to confirm that they are compliant with planning permission and their business rates obligations in ALL of their UK car parks.Je suis Charlie.0

And that facebook page isn't just forum posters, it's genuine customers who have seen this scam for what it is at last (not parking management, protection racket). And Parking Eye's recent court claims have been the last straw for some customers.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Is it necessary to show your hand at the soft appeal?
I just said I don't recognise your authority to invoice and give me the POPLA code.
Surely, by showing your hand to the con too early gives them fair notice?Search my post " PoPLA evidence - What to submit" on what is a good defense for a PoPLA appeal.0 -

Showing your hand is best for most people IMHO as most people want the fake PCN cancelled without hassle. I don;t think a short appeal is the answer in most cases, why not get the thing cancelled?
But I did add underneath that template response that I felt the OP might like to write his own naive version if he wants to fish for a POPLA code!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Likewise some PPCs will only prey on easy targets and may not have authority from the landowner for court action in any case.0
