church liability

Hi
My solicitor has asked us to complete an overiding interests form , on it it says is there liability for repairs to any local church
We sent them the complete house deeds when we instructed , and assuming there isnt something in there regards it (would hope not as they would have had the answer already ?) how would we find this out for sure?
We dont think there is , have no idea really to be honest , how would we find out for sure?

Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

You're selling, right?
Don't ask the church! They might just turn round and say yes!
Just put: "Not so far as is known"0 -

It is a list of about 25 `overriding interests` where its tick if applicable , so i guess leave it blank...?Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -

No! Tick 'No'. Add your rider to all the overriding intersts and be done with it.
Hi Val
What i meant was , there is no `no `box to tick ?
seems if none apply then to leave blank ?
has a table format , with the over ridign interests down one side , like Rights of Way , Drainage rights , liability to repair the chancel of the church , then the column next to it says tick IF APPLICABLE , then the last column says documentary evidence...Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -
Isn't this something the purchasers solicitors would check anyway? I'm sure when I bought the property I now live in last year, my solicitor warned me about church repair liability on the surrounding land & advised me to take out insurance against it as my vendors flatly refused to.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
probably , i guess my solicitors are just closing every possible problem avenue?Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0
