We assumed if one turned us down all the other main ones do.
All that Santander see going through this account is about £5k a month as my husbands wage is with another account because he is employed by a USA company and paid in dollars and to get hold of them to give new bank details was a hassle
So we just set my wages in it, our bills come off it plus living money - he transfers a amount each month from his bank.
We only joined Santander in Dec to get the 123 account as heard it was good and worked out we could get some money on it from interest. Neither of us are very savy or clued up with savings etc hence why we mid 30's and just looking to buy first house now
Not that we have had debt or anything just wasted alot of money on rubbish.
I've made a appointment for financial advisor to discuss what we going to do and see about mortgage
We just panicking incase we get rejected , seems CC rejected us.0 -

I pay my cards off every month but have had no problem with getting new cards . I have just got a new 0% deal with no problem0 -

The Santander manager isn't very knowledgable about credit scoring by all accounts so lots of people can. The first thing he should have explained is the not just the data on the report is scored. And that everything looking ok on the report doesn't guarantee acceptance.
Hasn't this thread already been posted? I and others definitely made the same point in another thread.0 -
Ahh yes - duplicate here. Which should be replied to?

Proof of a massive gap in his knowledge. Shambolically poor from a bank manager.0
