change bank details help

Hi.
What would be the best way to notify Tax Credits of a change in bank details?
Something that can be done over the phone?

Thanks

Yes. Ring them up - there is an option to choose to let them know when you get through to main menu. Then just tell the person the sort code and the new account number and name of bank. Ask them to read it back to you just to make sure that they have done it right. Can be easy to mishear on a phone sometimes.
  • Also make sure you have your old account number and sort code to hand as they wont change it without first confirming them.
