Its always a good idea to be really diversified so you won't be hit by a downturn in any one sector or geographical region - and your idea there is pretty well diversified, with an overall risk appetite that looks in keeping with your age. I think you're on the right track here.0 -

sounds like you got things upside down :rotfl:I was going to start buying using HL. Opening up with about £500-£1k at first to get started.
I am looking long turm like 5-10 years depending on how it goes.
HL is good for unit trusts and its the best idea if you are new to investing
Microsoft is down 9% today, its just lost its May gains so we'll see how it progresses, or not
