Where do I stand? Lost fabric.

Bought some fabric from a retailer I've used before via Internet. They were doing a 15% discount deal that day 7th July. Material has not turned up and they use Royal Mail 1st class post. Have spoken to retailer and the response is a bit weak. They just want to refund me not re send order. I just want the fabric but feel they should honour the discount price. Have been to local sorting office but no parcel there. If anyone could help me I would be most grateful. Not sure of my rights in this situation.

They can refund if they want, you can't make them send another item out at the discount rate.

You have a right to be put back in the position you were in before entering the contract - ie with your money but no fabric.

You can't force them to provide a product - if they're a good business that appreciates loyal repeat customers they may offer you a goodwill gesture of a discount off a future purchase or similar, but that is an extra and not something they must do.
