Temporary car insurance for non-UK resident

My son-in-law is visiting from South Africa for 1 month and I've offered to lend him my car (although a non-UK resident he does hold a UK driving licence).
I thought I could add him as a named driver to my insurance but they won't do it because he isn't resident in the UK. Are there any companies who will cover him temporarily?

Direct Line covered my brother-in-law as a named driver-but it was many years ago. Have you tried tempcover.com?

Thought tempcover.com might be the answer but it's only for cars with a value of £1000 or more. Unfortunately my 1999 Fiesta is now only worth about £400!
