Bit of help please, About to renew my breakdown cover and was wondering which is better, Green flag or RAC? There both about the same price but green flag pay more cashback on TCB.

Ive just cancelled my renewal with the AA as it was too expensive and I wont get the cashback if I was to renew online.

many thanks for any help x

I was with the RAC, and they were always excellent and never let me down. Late last year I moved to Green Flag because it would save me money (free with my bank account). A big risk, but I knew I could always go back to the RAC if Green Flag were terrible.

I've had to call them out once, and they couldn't be faulted either.

I know that doesn't help you to make a decision...

thanks a lot for your reply. I've been with the RAC before and they were shocking basically. Left me stranded on a freezing cold night with my little one in the car. I ended up cancelling the call and getting someone to come pick me up. they helped me push the car into a safer place and my dad towed it home and fixed it the next day. the only reason he didn't come get me that night was because he had had a drink.

think I might give green flag a try, fortunately didn't need to use my AA cover this year so don't know what their like.

Don't forget that cashback isn't 100% guaranteed. Autoaid is worth a look at, £39.99 for the year.

I went for RAC via topcash back, £102 for personal cover for me + wife in any vehicle ,+ recovery to any uk destination and if it works £47:25 cash back via topcashback.
It shows as tracked, so if they pay up a good deal.

I wanted to stay with the AA but I had had enough of begging for the inflated renewal price to be reduced.
    Be happy...;)
