Oh thank you so much! this is the third year in a row we've been there, and we're running out of ideas now! though I really really fancy that iron age fort... we passed it last year on our way to cardigan, and it looks aces!

ooh i was just about to mention castell henllys, but i see ive been beaten to it :D OH and i are both in our twenties, and we loved it :o :rotfl: i highly recommend the guided tour - what the guides dont know isnt worth knowing!

if you have access to transport, you're not too far away from pembroke (castle) or tenby and all its attractions.

i highly recommend you contact the welsh tourist board Vik (visitwales.something) and request brochures. they send a phenomenal amount of stuff out to help you get the most from your holiday, stuff that i found invaluable.

Right, the roman village thing it is then!! we passed it last year on the road, and it looked fantastic, and now you lot have reccomended it, and my uncle did too, so we'll be shooting off there..
are there any places that perhaps arent that well known we could try, if you see what i mean? we've done the 'big' tourist places, oakwood, the dinosaur place, tenby, st davids, pembroke castle etc, and now want to find other stuff to do, cause, like i said, we're running out of ideas!!

aberystwyth is a nice afternoon out if you havent been there. have you been to caldey island to see the monks? cant remember where it is in relation to fishguard, but we did the complete walk around llys-y-fran reservoir/park. you can also hire bikes to do it, but be warned that is not for the faint hearted, its a very steep course - proper mountain biking stylee  :D

i'll put my thinking hat on and try to come back to you later. of course, this is one area where the tourist people will come into their own.

if you can be bothered to trawl through my profile, ive started a few threads about things to do in wales. off the top of my head, i think one was called the grand tour of wales. i got loads of great advice, so you may find that helpful to read.

OH was thrilled to be able to say he had been to fishguard because he's a massive barry welsh fan. he work is probably not suitable for the ginger monster's ears ;) but if you're not familiar with his stuff, i suggest you check it out. its cringeworthily hilarious:D
