JSA help with starting a job

Hi all
Im looking to see if the job centre will help me buy a digi taco card, so im able to get work as a Class 1 truck driver, as I have the licence but no one will take me on without it.

I have heard in the passed they have supplied things like uniform and SIA badges.

They cost £38 and are valid for 5 years. Can you not put a little JSA aside each time to pay for it or do you have a friend who could lend you the money until you do get that job.

Do you have a written job offer? Have you claimed any financial support from JCP before?
You can drive without one, so is the employer willing to take you whilst you wait for it to come through?

Have you actually asked at your local JCP as each office and district has it's own fund now and can vary in each office as to what they can and can not pay for.
