INdependent will writer , bit of advice please

Hi All

We have a local Will writer, who I dont think is under any associations, she comes recommended on our local Business network - but obviously from people who have used her.

I just dont want to make a mistake when paying for a Will writer

depends how complicated the will and if they try to make themselves executors (high fees sometimes but not always)

complicated will probably solicitor , high value estate involve a tax planner

It's easy for people to recommend will writers while they're still alive but the mistakes and problems only become clear once they're dead.

Go to a solicitor, at least if they make a mistake the firm will have insurance for negligence claims against them and are more likely to still be around to sue in X years time.
