Views on best colour for kitchen floor & work surfaces

Hi all, about to start choosing our kitchen, and in my opinion my husbands old flat had a dark marble type work top that always looked dirty and smeared. We are renting at present and the flooring is a sand coloured tile and I think shows up all the crumbs and everything else, so my question is in your opinion what are the best colours to work with?

Use the edit function. From that you can delete your second post as no longer being require. You can't delete the lead post in any thread. All you can do is edit it and put "Wrong Forum - please ignore" instead. Send Nile a PM and ask for this thread to be deleted.
