    Everything running ok?

You can delete DDS and it's logfiles - DDS.txt and attach.txt

Simply right click and choose delete.
    • Right click AdwCleaner.exe & choose "Run as administrator" to run it.
    • If AdwCleaner prompts you an update is available, click Cancel
    • Click Uninstall.
    • Click Yes to the prompt.
    • AdwCleaner will close and uninstall itself

Open a Run command box, Windows key + R on your keyboard) and copy/paste this command in:

    ComboFix /uninstall

Note the space between ComboFix and /uninstall , it needs to be there.

    Click OK

Combofix will uninstall itself. Let me know if you have problems.

It will be once I've checked the startup entries (thank again for the list).
I also need to update a load of installed programs and turn some of those off at startup.

I've get rid of DDS, ComboFix and adwcleaner.

If I knew where you lived, there'd a be a case of something alcoholic heading your way!!!

    Arrrggghhh!!!

Just after everything was going so well........
I've tried t install the update checker from FileHippo.
It installs OK, but then, when I try to run it, it tells me a device attached to the system has stopped working (or words to that affect).
That happens with both the install version and the standalone EXE.

    Any ideas?
