I sell underwear on ebay,
today I have had a customer open SNAD case open a pair of men's satin boxer shorts
he ordered a XL, received and XL , confirms they are internally labelled as an Xl ( with waist measurements) and because they do not fit him ( must be the boxer shorts!) wants me to send him more
Any idea where i stand? He has confirmed he has destroyed all packaging ( this is also ruining his life...!!

It's always 'ruining their life' isn't it?
As a business seller I know we have to refund on return, and underwear is a tricky one, so I would make it difficult. Either accept the return as it is without packaging but make sure they realise this is a change of mind return and they will need to send them back fully tracked-, or play dumb and tell them they need to find the packaging if they want to change their mind.
Either way make sure they do an official return request in ebay so it is recordedI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Dont you hate terrible sellers. Surely you knew the pants would not fit him?

Dont you want to reply...
Maybe they will fit if you eat less pies?
Did you use an elasticated tape measure?
Are you sure you didnt measure your leg and not your waist?
I could go on all day... Still the sellers fault, Ask ebay.
