LL is bringing a surveyor round

What does this mean for us? Is he looking to sell or maybe just get an idea of the price?

We can't afford to move and weren't planning on doing so till sometime next year when we moved to the South Coast

Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

I've nevermet your LL so cannot ask him. Sorry.

Is the surveyor coming to do a valuation,or a survey?

If valuation, he may be re-mortgaging. If he was selling, hewouldnotbring a surveyor - he'd bring an estate agent.

If a survey, he may be planning repairs, remedial work, an extension.....

Why not ask? (not us, him!)

I know I never got a chance on the phone sorry. He did say the guy was looking at a few properties. Well no room for an extension, maybe planning of doing up the top floor/loft, or converting the 2 flats back into one but he'd lose money that way.

he probably has to do up the outside of the place (windows) as the whole area is getting a makeover, its in a conservation area.
