                    Hi
My partner is struggling with the overdraft they haveand I am in debt management. I am not struggling anymore, and wondered whether it would be an idea to make my partners account a joint one so my wages go in and help him grt out the overdraft instead of paying £88 per month fees and worrying.?
My partner is worried if we do this and a few years down the line my partner wants to get a mortgage, having a joint account would affect his chances being successfull with me being in debt management?
Advice would be great!!
Thanks :-)

it would be a bad idea to have a joint a/c between some-one on a DMP and some-one with a decent credit history
without knowing the incomes and debt levels and general spending, it's impossible to be specific but why can't you just pay money each month into his a/c and then have an arrangement to withdraw it as needed?0

            Thanks clapton.
I thought that was the case. My partner is in the reserve on his overdraft and is being charged £22 per week.
Your idea is a good one. :-)0

It probably wouldn't get past the credit check anyway.0
