In praise of Ekornes Stressless

I bought a 10-year old Ekornes Stressless sofa via ebay, and we had to dismantle it to get it out of the seller's flat.
In doing so, I noticed that a couple of bolts were missing, possibly because they were difficult to insert and perhaps the original installer didn't bother.
So I sent an email to Ekornes to ask if they might send me a couple of spare bolts; they did, along with an expensive looking flexible screwdriver to help get them in.
Unfortunately the bolts they sent were not the right ones, so I emailed back and they then sent me the correct ones.
I have to say that their support for a 10-year old product acquired 2nd hand is pretty much exemplary.
They understand that Quality is something that lasts through the entire life of a product, not just something which you pay lip service to and then forget about as soon as the customer has walked out the door.
Good work, Ekornes!

Terrific chair, soooo comfy ! Great quality............ look at how the base and legs are made of umpteen layers of wood bent to shape; the cheap copies use moulded chipboard/MDF.0
