Hi, I am after some ideas for London days out with my three kids for this summer, they are 13,13 and 16. We are in zone 6 so plan on a few days out over the six weeks.
We will do the natural history and science museum again, but I was hoping for some more unusual ideas. They are not keen on gardens/ galleries etc. but like movies and comic books, so we will do the forbidden planet shop. Other than that I am struggling for ideas, it was so much easier when they were younger, they were happy to go anywhere
Thanks in advance for any replies

Have you been to the Museum of London Docklands. It's just by Canary Wharf, so you can also visit the shops and cinema. It's free to get in. You can get there on the DLR.0

If you are using public transport this is quite cheap as your ticket covers part of the cost.
Emirates air line.

Thank you both for the replies, they have all been to the docklands museum with school this year and my dad has taken them on the cable cars before which they did enjoy.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

Register with Groupon, kgb deals, living social, Wowcher, Mighty deals, Deal Zippy etc as they often have cheap deals for Segway, open top bus tours etc. I can send you a link if you like? They have also had discounts for the Harry Potter walking and bus tours, if they are interested.

My grandson suggests going to Harrods, he is 13, as he likes looking round? He also likes Covent Garden and the London Transport Museum.0 -
Thank you so much for taking the time to post those links
I am a member of groupon but will have a look at all the others and register. Covent garden is also a good idea, as is the transport museum, I remember going as a child but have never taken my lot, much appreciated

not free, but these look good value on the 2-4-1 offers with a train ticket. I'm taking my nephew down to London in a couple of weeks and will probably do one of these with him

My teens still like the RAF musuem at Hendon. They love Hyde Park and hiring a Boris bike to ride around it is a favourite thing to do. They were also there this weekend and could hear some of the British Summertime Acts performing whens itting having a picnic near there. The lido there is also reasonable and great int he hot weather. Other favs are camden market on Sunday. You could also keep your eye out for free tickets to festival and cinema events. The 16 year old could go with friends early morning and queue for £5 tickets to see Matilda the musical.0

What about Greenwich? You've got the Observatory and the Naval Museum and lots of other things.0

You can get a behind the scenes look at the Natural History Museum on one of their spirit collection tours

and if that sort of thing appeals, the Hunterian museum is also worth a look
