Hi
I've got an expensive tent I've just listed on e-bay with a reserve and I've had a message asking if I have a price to end the auction early, or if I can tell them what the reserve is
Is this normal??
Thanks in advance

It's not uncommon. It's perfectly ok to reveal your reserve price - personally I find it very annoying when people don't tell me what it is, and I won't bother wasting my time bidding. My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

Fair enough, I'll let them know. I didn't know if it was against any rules or anything, it's all new to me.
Thank you

P.S How about the price to end the auction early?0

I have had people asking me change auctions to a 'buy it now', I have kept them all to auctions though. I don't know if buyers know the minimum reserve is £50.00?A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

Yep - Both are just as common as people asking for BIN's when I would have placed one if I wanted to sell at a fixed price. I've never listed with a reserve before, but i get a fair few people asking what the reserve price is!?
Grrrr!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
Hi
I always get people asking me what my buy it now price is. Personally I prefer to wait to the end of the auction - generally because with most stuff I have no idea what it may be worth to somebody.0 -
Tell them what the reserve price is. In fact, in future, declare the reserve price in your listing. Why hide it?
Don’t end the auction early. If they are prepared to pay £X now, they will probably bid £X anyway and they or someone else may bid more.
The risk is that, if they are willing to pay more than the reserve now and you refuse, and no one else bids, then they will win at the reserve price.
I hope that makes sense.

Certainly does. TBH I didn't intentionally intend to hide the reserve price as such, just didn't think about putting it in the description.
