Oh my word, that's shocking - I don't know which would make me more angry, the waste of time and money travelling to London, or the pathetic token of apology!! I would definitely take it further, tell them that you ended up both out of pocket and with a disappointed child, and possibly take it higher (as has been suggested, copying in a manager or something). Best of luck. xx0

Well the PR company that organised the competition and were responsible for the error have completely ignored our 2 further emails but we copied All in London who advertised the competition (apparently for free).
They were more understanding of the situation and have themselves sent some vouchers for my son. :T0 -
Glad to hear you got something eventually, I'm annoyed for you at how rubbish the PR company were, if you haven't already I'd drop Red Bull a note too as the PR company would have been engaged by them
If there are no consequences for the company they may do this again.Yes Your Dukeiness0 -
A similar thing happened to me regarding XFactor Final tickets which failed to materialize.
Having contacted the promoters and received no satisfaction I contacted Edwin Mutton at the Institute of Promotional Marketing (IPM)
After taking all the details and making a few enquiries he passed the complaint over to Adrian Spence at the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
After a short period of time I received a call from the competition promoters offering £150.00 in compensation.
If you get no satisfaction from Red Bull or the promoters inform them that you intend to take the matter up with the IPM or ASA.
