What to do now?

I bought an online diet plan from someone who I thought was reputable. She's been in magazines and national newspapers and her twitter account was full of messages praising her plan.

I paid for the plan via PayPal on 26th May and after 10 days contacted her asking how long it would take. She replied saying she'd not received a completed profile and that she had already emailed me (I checked junk mail etc, so don't believe this). Anyway I filled out the plan again and sent it to her.

After another week of not hearing anything, I emailed & tweeted her again and asked for the plan and she tweeted back 'was sent yesterday'. Again nothing so I sent her a stroppy email asking for a full refund within 7 days.

I've not heard anything so is there anything I can do now? The plan only cost £24 but I'm furious that she can just get away with it.

Anyway it's thought me a lesson!

My first thought was a Paypal dispute, but you are now out of time.

Name and shame? She might pay up if she realises other people are aware?
  • I've no problem naming and shaming her and if I do ever get my plan I'll let you know on here.

Her name is Hayley Peck and she runs Slimspirational. Just google her name and all the details of her are there.

If she's tried to email you twice, and you've not received either perhaps it's a simple case of the email address she has for you being incorrect?

Gone into your spam folder? Been blocked higher up the spam filtering tree?

Try giving her another email address, maybe a GMail one?
  • Looked in spam folders, junk mail - there's nothing there and my spam filters are set to low. She has emailed me twice, just not with my plan!

I gave her the benefit of the doubt and suggested an alternative email to her and have had nothing. Even if my email didn't work Twitter does and she has responded to those but seems to be making excuses to me. You don't just say 'I sent it yesterday' and nothing more... it's poor customer service and she is just using excuses.
