  • My appeal was more based on Stroma's suggestion. I wasn't sure how serious Bazter's reply was at the time being new to this or any other forum.

    I did not have the parking ticket to send with the appeal but I pointed out to CEL that if they could link photographic evidence of cars entering the car park with information from a ticket bought from a machine, they should also be able to check that a ticket was bought for a car which never entered the car park. I also sent a copy of the change of ownership document proving that the car for which a ticket was bought was previously owned by me. I then invited CEL, should they prefer, to check the validity of the document with DVLA in the same manner they used to obtain my details to issue the PCN.

    I did expect the appeal to be turned down so was surprised that it was immediately cancelled. That said, everything I told them could be checked as factual so perhaps they applied some common sense.
