Sorry!
Leeds/Wakefield,
Not fussed if its an online one so long as someone can recommend them0 -
You need to find a conveyancer that has experience with new builds, they are not all that straight forward (although you think they should be) and also because you'll be forced to exchange really quickly so you need a team who are really on the ball. Also the searches will have all been done by the Developers firm and they will often give them to the 'preferred' solicitor so you won't want to waste time re-doing all the searches only to be told the property doesn't exist, etc. Developers often recommend a local solicitor which lots of people might tell you is a really bad idea and conflict of interest but I've used a recommendation in the past and been very happy. (I had knowledge of the firm beforehand and their reputation is good so check this out before you go with them). Whatever you do don't go with an online firm.0

Thanks,
Annoying though, if searches have been done etc and provided by the developer, why should we have to pay for them?!0 -
I've used this chap a few times:

Google 1st Property Lawyers. I'm using them and have so far been very happy with the service. A full itemized quote is provided before you give the go ahead so you know all the charges up-front.0
