Own number left on 1471!

Strange one last night -went to answer the phone - heard what sounded like half a dozen musical tones then it went dead. Used 1471 which told me last number was my own number!!!

If you have Call Minder enabled, that sometimes (but not always) rings you back - presenting your own number - if you have voicemail. If you don't, that is spooky.0

Hi, we've seen this happening on our lines too (resold BT) - as far as we can work out, it's the text to speech service. Basically someone has sent you a text message but to your landline number.
