Confused by feedback item was 'damaged' should I do anything?

Hi, I'd welcome any guidance as a pretty new eBayer, (feedback 34 times) a buyer has left feedback that a DVD I sent was 'slightly damaged', they've also remarked on the fast delivery time and marked feedback as positive.

There was no damage as far as I could see at all before I sent it, the DVD had been watched once and this was stated in the listing, should I respond to the feedback or just leave it? They haven't requested any refund but to be honest I would have been happy to offer some money back had I known they weren't happy, the item has cost them £3.80 plus postage.

When I say should I respond, I mean in a positive way to thank them for positive feedback and apologise the item now appears damaged -- or something like that. :) I'm selling off what I consider clutter for now.

I'm certainly still learning when it comes to eBay, thanks if you can set me straight.

Leave it be. Responding will only draw attention to it.

Positive feedback was left, so they are happy with their purchase. However, I would check your DSR's as you may have taken a hit on item as described.

Ive had a similar one today. Not had chance to check stars yet.

I may reply "no contact received about any problem" - but not sure yet.

Probably sit on it for a while.

Buyer got 10 NEW items DELIVERED for £1.99. I made a loss - but just wanted them to go to a good home.

Some people are just born whiners.

I used to buy a lot of DVD's from ebay sellers, and the discs would occasionally turn up scratched due to them coming loose from the holder in the DVD case. (probably from being knocked during the delivery process)
This allows them to move around inside the case and get get scratched, and it could well be what happened to the one that you sold.

A tip for anyone selling CD/DVDs put a couple of pieces of masking tape on the disc to secure it to the case to reduce the risk of it becoming loose in the case.

Ebay buyers will probably put the disc in the player with the masking tape on :rotfl:

Must admit - ive received a few new ones and could hear the disc bouncing around.

Did i care? No - cos the disc worked fine.

Ive had a couple of cd's / dvd's with the case cracked too. Did i care - no - 10 for £1 in poundland :)
