can't get out of safe mode

I downloaded a pc cdrom game onto my laptop earlier and when it had finished downloading it went into safe mode. I didn't really think much of it but now I've put my laptop on again it's still in safe mode. I've restarted and turned on and off and selected the F8 option and selected to go back into normal mode but it won't. I've also uninstalled the game but it still won't go back into normal mode. Please can someone help?!!

try a restore point from before you did all this

fixed now. It wasn't actually in safe mode lol. Shows how limited my computer knowledge is!

I saw your title and expected that you were confusing low resolution and lack of colour to be safe mode, it is a common thing people have seen safe mode and know how the screen looks so assume that when they get that look they are in safe mode.

This for anyone that gets the same thing and finds this from the search.

Just right click the desktop click properties then the settings tab and increase the resolution and the colour depth/quality to your prefered settings
