Updating HSBC Credit Card Balance

When I make a payment to my HSBC credit card it says something along the lines of 'payment will be credited today for interest purposes' and 'balance will be updated within two working days'.
Does this mean that the payment I've just made is available to spend? I was hoping to purchase something tomorrow and need that amount in order to pay for it on this card. Does it mean that I will have to wait two working days to be able to spend the payment amount I've just paid or does it just mean the onscreen balance will be updated within two working days but the amount is available to spend?
I'm really confused - does anyone know?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you. So what does this 'your balance will be updated within two working days' mean then?
I just want to be sure the money will be there to spend as I don't want the embarrassment of having my card rejected when making a purchase tomorrow.Mortgage - £105,5000
