I'm trying to install the software I've downloaded, for a usb tv stick, and keep getting the following error
Error applying transforms: Verify that the specified transform paths are valid: C:\Windows\Installer\{5016185F-05AF-455F-AA70-6B6E5D6D4E70}\2057.mst
How do I resolve this? Thanks.

Do you know the version of the software/driver you are installing?
Is there a more up to date version at the following link assuming I've got the right product?
http://www.avermedia.com/avertv/Support/Download.aspx?Type=Software&id=517&tab=APDriver
(Note there are sections there for app and driver, app only, driver only)0 -
Yes, I've downloaded the latest version. The drivers install ok, it's AverTV that doesn't. Before I get the error message though, I get a message now saying,
The setup will perform an upgrade of ". Do you want to continue?
This is exactly how the message is displayed, which doesn't make much sence. Before all this though, I run Advance Uninstaller, and remove all previous traces of the driver, and software, so I can't see how it can be an update.0 -
Can you install an earlier version? Maybe the upgrade is looking for a folder that an older version made because where it says make sure paths are valid,it is looking for something in C:\Windows\Installer\{5016185F-05AF-455F-AA70-6B6E5D6D4E70}\2057.mst but it cant find it.
Have you got that folder?0 -
I've seen this happen sometimes with an over protective Anti-virus.
Try turning off your AV and trying the installer again.Laters

Tried it with anti-virus turned off, and earlier versions. Still no joy. Someone at work, suggested it could be a Windows update that has caused it, but how would I know if it was? As I said, my usb ports are working, but finding the usb tv tuner.0
