I have noticed that my Word 2000 has two gaps in the toolbar. When I position the mouse over the positions, they act like buttons and can be pressed, but don't do anything. Any suggestions on how they got there and how to get rid of them?

Go to tools and customise and see if you can drag them off0

Unless I'm missing it, I can't find an option to customise toolbars - select or deselect toolbars, or add/remove options to menus, but no removing items from toolbarsCharlie0

when you get the customise box on the screen just click on the icons you want to remove and drag them onto that box and let go.
I am using word 2003 but as far as I can remember its the same for 2000
also in word 2003 - not sure about 2000, when you have the customise box open you can right click on the icons on the tol bar and edit them, delete them etc0 -
Thanks for the reply. I think I tried that, but I'll have another go later.Charlie0
