Joie stages in a Kia Picanto?

I hope I'm posting the right place.

I want to get a new car seat and will be setting off to Halfords soon, but wanted to see if I could gather some more info about my favourite so far, the Joie Stages.

Can I have your opinions please?
Also, if anyone knows - will it fit in a Kia Picanto, five doors 13 reg? Anyone with experience of this seat and car?
I have found so far that this seat seems to fit well in smaller cars, but because it is rear-facing for longer some seat belts are just not long enough to accommodate it.
Thank you in advance

  • It would probably be better to post in the motoring section:

I would either have a chat with Halfords about the seat or have a search around on google for a Kia Picanto forum where other owners may have more experience of this particular after market seat.

Wisdom comes from experience. Experience is often a result of lack of wisdom.

I just got the Joie stages for my 5mth old and love it! We have it in a 03 Ford focus-Its a tight squeeze to get the belt on but it does fit, we have it behind passenger side as the front seat needs to go forward for it to fit. This FB page has a list of cars people have the seat in-Also 'Martin' from Joie posts on there so can often help. https://www.facebook.com/RearFacingTheWayForward?fref=ts
I am not sure about the Halfords stock-but if you plant o use rear facing until 4yrs then make sure you get the newer model-the older was RF until 13kg but the newer ones in the white box are up to 18kg RF so make sure its in white box and says RF until 18kg on it :)
She has the loaded handbag of someone who camps out and seldom goes home, or who imagines life must be full of emergencies..
