my husband works so i only claim and recieve DLA

would I be entitled to a discount on Utilities? is so do all do it and do rates vary ?

I am not aware of any discounts on fuel. You can register on the Priority Services Register so the supplier and their agents are aware you are disabled.

You can get a reduction in your council tax, and you might be able to claim ESA. Do you get higher rate DLA?

If you are claiming DLA then you are already claiming benefits - I don't quite understand your headline.

You receive one or two components of DLA - they are there to help you pay any extra costs that arise from your conditions, including utility bills.

As you suspect because your partner works and so you only receive DLA you do not receive cold weather payments nor (probably) do you qualify for the £130 annual grant.

You should just shop around for the cheapest general tariffs. If your disability does mean you need to use a bit more fuel the good news is that most of the best bargains and flexibility are there for higher users.
