My mother in law is cared for by her son but she wants to stop it as he does not do much for her so why should he get it.
So what i would like to know if they stop him getting it does she get it paid into her income support(i know it would not be carers allowance) but ive sure ive heard somewhere that if he does not get it then my mother in laws income support would go up.
what are the true facts please.

if she gets mrc or hrc and nobody else over 18 lives with her then if no one is getting CA then she can have the Severe Disability Premium (sdp)which is around £56 a week added to her IS
