Does anyone have any experience with this kit?

I just bought the knight hawk black for my Honda as I have a few chips and scratches to get rid of.

I find the instructions quite vague especially the part about "leaving" the paint for 24 hours.

Does this mean I can't drive my car and cover it from rain for 24 hours?

Chipex is a far better bet

Yes, the warmer the temperature the more success you will have. You most certainly do not want the repair to get wet before it hardens.

When touching up paint, patience is the key factor, take lots of time.

Have you used this? Curious as to whether it works as well as the promotional video suggests...

Yes, I think it is good, Morgan car club ( and I think MG ) promote it to their members.
Here is a web site on piston heads that gives a pretty good appraisal.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1096872

I don't have a garage to protect the car from the elements for a few days.

Can anyone recommend a temporary cover/tarpaulin I could use while the paint etc settles?

Get a spray can of matching paint; spray some into the lid; brush it into the scratches using a fine brush. By the time you have cleaned your brush the paint will be dry and off you go, job done.
