Paypal witholding funds they never should have had

I'm having a total nightmare with Paypal just now. 
They are holding £112.00 and have done since the 20th
To start from the beginning, i made a purchase with a retailler who took a duplicate payment in error. They refunded it later that day, only for Paypal to place a temp hold on the funds. :mad:
Following this, the goods i recieved werent to standard so I sent them back and recieved a refund for the orginal amount - which passed through Paypal no issues and I now have the money back for that.
The duplicate payment still remains with Paypal who are blaming technical difficulties. I'm fuming, its not exactly a small amount and had the retailler taken the appropriate amount Paypal wouldnt have their mitts on my money
They've given me a fiver as goodwill to shut me up, but how long should I be giving them to clear this up?

180 days is what they are known to hold money for. They may see this as fraud attempt and are holding it to see if there will be a chargeback issue.
Have this moved to the ebay board, there are better people over there who know more about paypal.0 -
