Internet History

I no longer have any internet history. I think that the problem may be to do with temporay internet file storage. Under toools/internet options/Temporary Internet Files/settings/temporary internet files folder - disc space has reverted to 0. Also the slider is to the far left. However, I can not change this. If I move the slider, the counter does not increase. If I put a figure in the counter, when I press OK a pop up says please enter a value between 0 and 1. If I try to enter a decimal point it says it has to be a whole number. I have recently installed MSN is this the problem? How do I solve this?

Thanks Mr Skint. Having looked at the thread and going round the houses, I tried a system restore and this seems to have done the trick.
