JSA advice needed - Job offer

Hi guys

I been claiming JSA since the 17th June and I missed my first advisor appointment. I have been sanctioned from the 3rd - 30th July. I accept it was my fault.

Now I've received a job offer to start of the 22nd july for three weeks. I want to accept this but I have not received any JSA so I don't have any travel money to get there.

To quote google it's a 3 hours and 19mins on foot & to use public transports it would be about an hour & £4 for a day saver (£15 for a weeks bus pass) I rang the jobcentre today and they said I could get hardship payment but not for the first two weeks which would end the 17th July. I have a pointless signing on day the 16th where I could fill these forms in but I still wouldn't receive any money in time for Monday 22nd.

Do you think I should accept the offer?

I know that goes against the whole point of jsa but I haven't got any money to do the work. I'm in a pickle.

Ask if there is any help with travel to get you to work, some districts have different schemes. Mine has one at the moment but it will be ending august and they give you 8 weeks of free travel.

Ask them if they can provide any travel facility. If you think its will help you out then go for it.

I rang and asked, they said they might, I will have to see on tuesday

So the job is only three weeks then you'll be back on JSA and you're on a Sanction?
IF it was a permanent job I'd say you would get the help but not so sure if you will be back on JSA anyway...
