Windows 7/windows XP

Hey i am going to install new OS in my laptop...so which is best for my Laptop..and why...

    I run everything in a VIC-20 virtual machine. I recommend it because it really helps up my post count on forums, so I can start spamming my dodgy links, so it is just what you are looking for.

    I'd hardly call Windows XP a "new" operating system, given that it was released in 2001. It also expires in 2014 - after that, there will be no new fixes, not even for critical security flaws.
    If it sticks, force it.
    If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

    As above. Windows XP long term support expires on April 8, 2014. For this reason alone I'd recommend Win7 (assuming your machine can handle it).
