Bank card= switch/vasa debit/connect?

Options
Can anyone enlighten me to what banks provide what cards? Since a lot of the banks have got rid of switch and changed around their debit cards, can anybody give me a list (or just an idea of what your bank provides) with regards to the debit cards they supply?

ie - Abbey went from Delta to Visa Debit and Halifax went from switch to Visa Debit.

Is this what they all are now?

  • Hi There

Halifax has gone from Switch to Visa Debit (delta). Mines a £100 cheque guarentee card too. This is there standard current account but rarely use it.

Woolwich (my main current account) is a Visa Delta and a £100 cheque guarentee card. Ive been with them for 2 years and have always had this card, but do find the Woolwich excellent.

I dont know much else im afraid  sorry!!

Banks usually provide one of two payment cards: either Visa/Delta or Switch (now called Maestro). Most bank websites will tell you what they provide. Main ones are:

    Lloyds TSB - Visa/Delta
    Barclays (inc. Woolwich) - Visa/Delta
    RBS (inc. NatWest) - Switch/Maestro
    HSBC - Switch/Maestro
    Nationwide BS - Visa/Delta
    HBOS (Halifax + BofS) - Visa/Delta
    Co-op bank (inc. Smile) - Visa/Delta
    Norwich & Peterborough BS - Visa/Delta
    Alliance+Leicester - Visa/Delta
    Abbey - Visa/Delta

I suppose you could consider Visa/Delta overall a better card. For more info on the differences take a look here :
