Cheapest way to buy American Airlines flights?

Hi,
We're flying one way from Miami to Raleigh Durham, and using the links on MSE I know that the only airline to do this route direclty is American Airlines.
I've looked everywhere for discount codes but the only one I found was for transatlantic flights. I've searched on loads of flight comparison sites, and the cheapest is actually booking directly on the AA site.
Don't suppose anyone knows of a cheaper way to get the flights?
Thanks.

Airlines are generally always the cheapest. You can try Orbitz.0

Sometimes returns are cheaper than one wayPosts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Thanks both for the suggestions - already tried Orbitz unfortunately and they weren't the cheapest (although not far off).
Funnily enough it occurred to me today whether a return would be cheaper than a single. I've not checked again on the all the comparison sites (I looked at loads of different ones), but I checked this afternoon on the AA site and it was quite a lot more for a return.
Never mind, worth a try. Looks like I'm best off just booking directly on the AA site.
Thanks again.0 -

Are you getting about £65 o/w inc. tax? It's not too horrific, doesn't seem to be any low cost airlines on the route.
Or from $66 o/w - my favourite way of travelling in the states! http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Amtrak/HomePage0 -

Thanks for the suggestion. We'd be happy to fly from Fort Lauderdale but we gave that idea up a couple of days ago as everywhere we looked it was way more expensive (not sure why).0 -

Where do you get the £65 price from? That is better than what I have found. Most places the flight is from £78 to £90+, the cheapest (direct from AA site) is £73. If I could get for £65 I'd definitely book.
Not so sure about the train option - we will have a lot of luggage so would be a lot of hassle. Thanks for suggesting it though.0
