£4 for a bag to put groceries in? How did this make it to the weekly email? Hardly a bargain. FYI, they have free plastic bags at the till areas. Some people are easily impressed...
No free bags here in Wales, every bag that would be free in England, costs us 5p.
Anyway, these bags are very hardwearing. I've had one for a couple of years and it's still going strong.0 -

I agree, when l bought my old jute bags from Tesco years ago l thought they were 'bags for life'. One has now fallen to bits but they're not bags for life apparently and they won't exchange.
I love these jute bags though, they hold their shape and are easy to pack things into and to get in and out of the car.
Happy moneysaving all.0 -

I use my Tesco jute bags for the beach, picnics, holidays and general clobber! I don't use my 'nice' jute bags for the supermarket as I don't want them to get fishy/smelly, but use the large plastic reusable bags for that.
I also used some of last year's Orla Kiely Tesco bags as extra-large gift bags into which I loaded up the wrapped gifts for my sisters' families - so the bag became part of the gift.
Lets face it - £4 is not a lot for a big strong bag anyway, unless you are on an extremely small budget (which I am fortunate not to be) and the nice designs and small charity donation are a bonus in my opinion.
But stick to free plastic if that's your bag!0 -
I have two from last year. They are really pretty and hard wearing. Use them for toys. One of them is full to bursting with wooden train track.
Will try and get these ones.0 -
I'm dreadful at wrapping, so these bags are part of my Christmas present - I can pile each individual present & a card & balloons & bubble mixture & party poppers in, (long story) then leave clearly named bags for different branches of the family with my folks.
Saves on postage, looks fun & stays useful all year round. (Remember the Cath Kidston floral bag? My sister is still using hers for swimming kit & claims she still cuts a dash with it at the lido!)0 -
Just wanted to let you all know they have these at the big Tesco store in Walkden, Manchester!! I've just been and picked up one of each for me and one of each for my mum!! I must also be easily impressed and how could I say no when they have my name on them!!! : )
XxThanks to all the comp posters, you are brilliant! :T0 -
Would anyone who has the blue owl bag mind posting a picture of the pattern - I like the bird design but red isn't my colour, but a blue owl one might be worth a quick trip to Tesco (don't usually shop there!).
Also, roughly how big is the owl one?
Thanks in advance xx0 -
These latest designs look fab....just wish i could find them in my local stores! I have a couple of Orla Kiely jute shoppers from previous designs and they're still going strong. Definitely well worth £4.0
