I would like to connect a pair of speakers to my TV, I'm not looking for some fancy multimedia setup, the TV speakers have started to crackle a bit and I just don't think they are up to the job.
Can anyone recommend some?

I think it really depends on your budget. Audio Visual equipment is an entire industry sector. Maybe if you mention what you have now may give a better idea of what you are looking for in terms of replacement."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

It also depends on what audio outputs you have on the TV. most are limited especially older ones to a headphones socket on the front.
you could get the correct cable and connect this to a standard hifi stereo connector. that is the easiest and simplest option but if your speakers are going then maybe the time to replace the TV is comming also?0 -
You probably have a headphones plug on the front (a female 3.5mm jack), plug any speakers here.0
