UTCCR - Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999

The definition of a consumer in UCTA can be applied to a company when not acting in the course of business but only to an individual under UTCCR.

Neither may be relevant to your situation of course.

Fundamentally if B&Q breached their contract with you then you are entitled to claim damages from them.

Given the sums involved I would get some proper legal advice. Contract disputes over supply of materials in the building trade are not uncommon and you shouldn't have much trouble finding an experienced lawyer.
