Planning permission not correct for new build

I am in the process of buying a new build. The plans for my plot have been altered slightly from the original designs where one of the parking spaces for my plot had been removed to form part of someone else's garden.
I have been sent through all the contracts to sign
I was given all the planning documents on a CD from the developer, when i checked these they had only included the details for the original planning application, when i check this there were no new plans that cover the changes to the parking as part of it.
I have found that there is a separate planning application for the changes, but there are 2 problems with this, first it has not had final approval, and 2nd the new plans still do not match what is shown on our conveyance plan, they show the 2nd parking space being moved somewhere else rather than removed.
I am concerned that if i do go ahead with the purchase and it does not match what is on the planning application, i may have a problem with trying to sell the property later, particular as the original planning approval notice and the draft approval for amendments are quite clear that the parking must laid out according to the plan.
I have let my solicitors know about the problem, and they have requested some more information from the developer, but i expect this could take some time for them to sort out, and in the mean i am stuck waiting trying to figure out what i can do, do i leave it all in the hands of the solicitor and wait, or do i go to the developer and try and get a look at their plans now?

This is what you pay your solicitor for, let him/her get it sorted and don't exchange until you are satisfied all is correct. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

You're not in a rush are you, since this is a new build that is not even built yet?
Are you in danger of the purchase falling through if you do not sign the contract soon, or something?
If so then having your solicitor point out to the developer that any other buyer's solicitors will have the same questions may help.0
