Car insurance with decent service!

Hi all,
It's all well and good chasing the cheapest car insurance, but when it comes to make a claim, I've ended up regretting the cost-cutting. I had a claim this year with Admiral and chasing it up was a nightmare (although, I'm pleased to say, it all eventually got sorted OK).
I don't mind paying an extra £20,30,40 for some decent service. So, my question is : which car insurance companies have you found really good when it's come to the crunch (literally or not!)?
Thanks,
Sam

I have alternated insurance between Tesco and Diamond, this year Tesco was about £10 cheaper for more or less equivalent benefits but I stuck with Diamond because they have always have brilliant customer service IMO. I have rung them a few times a year for one thing or another - getting chips fixed on windscreen, adding people to the insurance temporarily/permanently, various questions etc and they have been great. Never had an accident (touch wood) though so can't comment on that I'm afraid. of course if you are a bloke they may not be best for you!
(Also I'm a sucker for a Cardiff accent and most of their employees seem to have one!)0 -
