Hi, yes, the difference is just the colour included in the starter kit - you need the starter kit with the lamp as these polishes are not like normal ones which just dry in the air - these need to be 'cured' under the lamp. You use a special base/top coat with the polish which is included.. The starter kit contains everything you need then you can just increase your collection by buying individual colours, which normally retail for £10 from Sensationails web site or in various supermarkets. Accessories such as base/top coat can also be bought from their web site.

However, the polish does need to be removed with an acetone remover. I've found it best to soak cotton wool in acetone remover, wrap each nail in foil then leave for a good 15 minutes. If it's done like that, the varnish will 'drop' off and your nails will be fine. Problems start when people are too impatient and pick at it!!

In my view, a very economic way of have salon nails! Works well, especially at these prices. HTH

    I've been Money Tipped!
Thanks to all posters, I managed to get a kit when it was in stock in Asda direct and some polished and an essentials set from my local store. It's the first time I've used anything like this and I am in love with it! I am on day 5 of my scarlet red nails and there is not one chip or scratch on them. I asked my little boy last night what he thought and he said they were still shiny. I've been doing lots of housework and washing dishes and they are still perfect. Just hoping I don't have a problem getting them off now as I am impatient and wanting to try another colour but at the moment they are still too perfect to justify removing them! x

I've not had very good results with sensationail :(
I couldn't get a week/5 days out of it before it lifted. Compared to gelish, which I normally use, the brush heads aren't very good. They're quite thin not very ridged and easy to control. I'm so gutted, as I love the colours I bought :(

I think it might be my nails rather than the product. Even gelish only lasts about 10 days and I had Shellac professionally done before and even that started lifting after 7days.

I find Sensationail really good, it usually lasts for at least two weeks and I only reapply then because my nails grow so fast that there is a noticeable gap at the bottom between the cuticle and the Sensationail polish after that, otherwise it would probably last another week. I used to use Gelish and that lasted much the same.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with gel polish, must be really disappointing. Maybe it is something to do with your nails. Two things that are essential to the polish staying put is that you don't use any kind of hand cream before applying and that the edge of the nail is cured as well as the flat of the nail. I don't know if that helps at all but I can't think of anything else.

Got mine last week. It's fab! I've had my nails 'on' since thursday last week and there's no marks, chipping at all. Still super shiny. I've done loads of housework, scrubbing etc and they're still perfect minus the slight gap where my nails are growing at super speed.

    Thanks for posting.
