Hi, I was just wondering are the cure times the same, or do they need to stay in the lamp for longer? I'm definitely going to try a heat activated one.

The cure time is longer than the sensationail gel - 2 minutes for each coat, but I am still using the sensationail base/top coat and only curing for 30 secs with these.
Also ran out of the alcohol stuff you use at the end of the process to remove the sticky layer and found hand sanitising gel works just as well on a lint free cloth - smells nicer too!!
The heat activated gel comes in all colours, even sparkly! try the diamond sparkle (not heat activated) its really sparkly but wait till you go out into the sun...wow need sunglasses!!

According to HUKD Asda have starter kits for £45 and polishes for £5. Removal kits are also reduced but i'm not sure the price. Everything is sold out online so maybe they're discontinuing them?

Fingers crossed I can find these in my local Asda after not finding any in Sainsbury's :(

The starter kits are back in stock online at asda for £45 and also a few polishes for £5 each. I bought a couple of polishes in my local asda yesterday for £5 each and the essentials kit for £10 and used my own standard uv lamp and they set fine, just took a few seconds longer. A lot better than some of the gel polishes I have used in the past...very impressed!

I'm sulking went to Sainsburys after my Zumba class not looking my best but figured it would be worth it to get a kit. No such luck they don't have any I've wanted one for ages but couldn't justify the full price. Asda online have sold out too :(:(:(:(
  • I ordered 2 french manicure starter kits online (asda) yesterday for my nieces but found them this morning in my local store. I have just cancelled the online order so hopefully they will appear back in stock later today? Hopefully it might help someone.

Scarlet red in stock for £7.50
  • Tesco direct still have quite a few colours in stock (not tesco groceries). They're £10 but still cheaper than sainsburys original price.

Just a heads up for the removal kit - I saw this in store this morning thinking they'd come in very handy but all you get in the box is a buffer, cuticle stick and some foil wraps....really not worth the price tag even in at the reduced prices. It even says on the packet that it must be used with acetone. To do it at home yourself just soak a cotton pad in acetone, wrap it around your nail then wrap around it in foil. There must be hundreds of tutorials online. Or type "nail soakers" into ebay - Little pink cups you fill with acetone/gel remover then soak your fingers in, I've had a set of these for years for acrylic nails and they're still going strong. Only £2.50 ish for 10.
