Help with Howdens Quote

Hi all,

We all know Howdens "discounts" are frankly nonsense, fully aware how they work and the below quote is from a close friend, so I'm quite confident margin hasn't been added on top.

What does worry me is reading reviews of people getting large kitchens for around £5k with appliances - my quotes are just for carcasses (no worktops or appliances) and are:

Curved units - £8,300
Curved edges standard units - £7,100

I'm worried about the horror stories of them producing a quote, then charging the chippy far less.

Can anyone take a glance and let me know if the below quote (£8,300) seems reasonable?

Is this direct from Howden's? When I got a quote (Feb) they were still only quoting to trade suppliers (in Bristol) - has this changed?

Hi, yes quote is direct from Howdens. They are (still) trade-only, they passed the quote to my fitter, who told them was happy for them to discuss financials with me.

I would say that list is not too easy to understand!

So in simple speak - how many units and what range?

FYI - I had 16 units + all fittings (worktop, sink, cooker etc.) for £2900 Greenwich range.

From the CAD plan I count 36 in total (quite a big kitchen) range is Glendevon graphite grey gloss (handle-less)

36 units is a huge kitchen. The average is around 12 - 18. Additionally you have got the most expensive range with the Glendevon. Plus they are curved which adds an incredible amount.

Either go for less units or for a different range.

The discounts are right. I buy a lot of kitchens from Howdens and my discounts are the same.

Get another quote and you'll possibly get 80-85% off original not 75% I've just got mine I bought 3 internal doors then my kitchen after opening an account . Apparently they are hungry for trade. Good luck think they are /were also doing adeal on oven hob hood packages for under £199 . My work tops were included at 85%.
