Blocked sink solved! Yipee!!

I have had a long term problem with slow drainage on my ensuite bathroom sink which regulary overflowed if the taps were left on. Have spent a fortune on acid and plumber, all were unable to sort it and baffled my plumber! Have long pipework to outside drain and even the rods were unable to detect problem. My friend recently bought a Blockblaster plunger from a home show and offered to lend it. It uses the stuff you put in fizzy drink machines and she advised was quite powerful. Ist attempt was a bit of a disaster as we forgot to cover the overflow hole and the air just shot out. The 2nd attempt was direct and as soon as it blasted a bit of smoke appeared from the plug. Ran the tap and the water started flowing instantly. It was brilliant. Totally recommend as it also works on toilets and showers. Wasn't cheap - my friend paid £40 but is cheaper than what my plumber charged and that was for one call out. He was due to come back to refix my pipes! very happy and wanted to share!

OK, benefit of the doubt, but sounds like your "plumber" was an utter cowboy. He had no idea, but you cured it yourself ??
