Mortgage payment protection insurance (MPPI) and compulsory redundancy whilst sick

Hi,

I'm looking for advice on claiming for MPPI after having been made compulsory redundant whilst signed off sick from work.

What benefits do I need to be on to make a valid MPPI claim?
Is it restricted to job seekers allowance (JSA) or is employment support allowance (ESA) also considered?

Many thanks for your time,

K

It will depend on what your policy says, they are all different.

My current policy is for unemployment only, not inclusive of sickness benefit. Would this fact have any bearing upon whether JSA or ESA is a consideration?

    Thanks
